I know he dealt with some pretty bad injuries but thats a core of 4 All-Star caliber players wtih some pretty good role ones in Marcus Morris, Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart, Enes Kanter. Thats arguably as good a collection of talent as Doc had in LA last season, Bud the past couple of seasons & Steve Nash this year.
Why would you frame it in a coach-first way? Thats not really what drives winning first and foremost.
We love to shit on great players coaches whenever we can
no, Tatum and Brown literally just became all star caliber players last season. Hayward was also injured a whole lot during his tenure with the celtics. >Thats arguably as good a collection of talent as Doc had in LA last season, Bud the past couple o
When your best player is still in AAU too it’s difficult.
Kyrie and Hayward hardly even played...
It was all just bad luck and timing. Hayward breaks his leg the first game as a Celtic and ends up not playing. The following years he is constantly injured and still getting back to his all star form. Kyrie gets surgery and is out for the playoffs. Itâ

kyrie literally punted a season or he was legitimately injured and NEEDED that surgery idk which but given his hysterics its probably in between. a lot of guys hold out for surgery in the offseason just to win.
Horford is the missing piece in the thread’s title. Replacing Kyrie with Kemba and their veteran players (Morris in particular) with drafted rotation players? They’ve been lost since then. If they’ve underachieved, that’s not Brad’s fault, it’
Where is this notion that brad stevens is a bad coach coming from? Elite at worst
at worst??? he makes some very interesting rotations to be elite at worst imo. correct me if im wrong but ive seen him ice out hot players and play around with leads quite a bit
Hes not on Pop/Kerr/Spo/Nurse level.
Coaches are always scapegoats. There are very few substantive things most fans can say about coaches, as a lot of the job goes on behind the scenes and up close. The complaint about rotations will always exist, because fans dont get to see how the altern
