[Clip here](https://youtu.be/JynxmIMLIJA?t=1036) Do you think Silvers assessment is fair? It seems as if he is putting more blame on Ujiri than the police officer who racially profiled him. Do you agree or disagree with this interpretation? Silvers comments are from October 2019, fyi.
Adam sterling silver
Wait...is Dave Silver blaming Masai here?
foot in mouth for adam there.
Nasty comment by silver
No, it was a pathetic statement.
Not that he exactly deserves the benefit of the doubt, but even after watching the actual clip in context, I genuinely cannot figure out any way to interpret this statement in a positive light. Fuck you, Silver.
"He marches forward with all the ~~exaggerated swagger~~ incredible energy of a black teenager." -Gamespot
Link to the actual source? If this is true, it sounds like a "but what was she wearing" type deal, just despicable.
Didnt I include it in the post? Was it deleted or something?
i definitely think he was off base but taking a couple of snippets out of context and building a whole story out of it is always a slimeball move.
Its not taken out of context at all, actually
I swear Ive seen this quote like a million times on this sub this week. Realistically the only problem is that they havent supported him after video and such where its was clear he wasnt at fault and silver didnt have to play both sides
I do not see any posts on the subject when I search "masai" and sort by new, at least in the past couple months. Maybe the search is wrong though idk
if you wanna salivate over some silver hate, search just for him / commissioner / "right thing to do". i think a lot of the posts have been so angry at him that they dont include in the post title the content its in re: to lol
Im not going to go full smooth brain and foam at the mouth like the majority of Reddit idiots but can someone explain the point Silver is making? What exactly is Ujiri avoiding? The cop literally had a power trip, insofar as actually trying to sue Masai
Poor wording from him but I dont think he meant it like that. Silver seems like a good guy and has always had the players backs in racial issues. Dont think he meant to make it sound like Masais fault.
This is “racial issues” and he clearly did not have his back here Allowing racial justice messages and acknowledging BLM is like run of the mill, corporate PR bullshit that they deemed to be popular enough to be allowable Backing up a black execut
What do you think he meant?
u/KindaAwkwardGuy just wondering if you have any alternative interpretation or you cant think of anything else
He did mean it like that, this was early on in the situation and he was afraid to make a clear stance to support Masai. If you asked him about it now, hed probably be on Masais side completely. You cant preach BLM and support for social justice then be in
