The Lakers championship made me think about this for some reason. MJ had the 96Bulls, Magic and Kareem had the 1987 Lakers, Bird had the 86 Celtics, Kobe and Shaq had the 2001 Lakers. Edit: I guess wilt is the only one I can think of who is a GOAT candidate but doesn’t have an all-time great team? (Although he had some great Lakers team). Also maybe Tim Duncan, even if his 2007 spurs were close to that tier?
Didn’t the heat win like 30 games in a row one year
They weren’t even the first seed. Also got taken to 7 by a really old Celtics team.
Neither was GSW during 2017-18 season and they easily was NBAs best team.
2012-2013 were pretty all-time imo.
66 win Heat team that won 27 straight in 2012-13 doesnt count? 25-5 vs the West in case you want to pull weak East narrative
Idk. I would consider that Heat team to be an all-time squad.
You mean a dynasty?
Duncan was part of the 2014 spurs which I think many consider an all time great team
they might not be on the same level as some of the teams you mentioned but the 2012-2013 Heat were pretty damn crazy. the win streak that year was incredible to watch. also about your wilt comment, his 67 Sixers were/are regarded as one of the best team
>I guess wilt is the only one I can think of who is a GOAT candidate but doesn’t have an all-time great team? What?? Both of his title teams are all time great. Also, Kareem has the 71 Bucks in addition to the 87 Lakers.
>Edit: I guess wilt is the only one I can think of who is a GOAT candidate but doesn’t have an all-time great team? (Although he had some great Lakers team) LeBron had great teams in Miami Heat & Cavs (2nd stint). Its no different.
