Hi all, I’m a Chinese American and have been a long time lurker. The Morey debacle has brought me out of my comfortable shell. I have one simple point I want to make that applies to this incident with China and beyond. In no way do the actions of a country’s government reflect the personality, integrity, and morality of that country’s people. Please keep this distinction at heart.

He has every right to tweet what he wants - if he understood the implications and consequences of whatever he wishes to say. What I mean is, freedom of speech is not equal for all. Those who have a broader reach with their voice must understand this.
