>MINNEAPOLIS -- Oklahoma City isnt just a place where Thunder star Kevin Durant lives these days. Its home. >So as he watched the horrifying images Monday as a tornado ripped through suburban Moore, the emotions came bubbling to the surface and so did the need to help. Durant pledged $1 million for tornado relief through his foundation on Tuesday, eager to help a devastated area begin to rebuild. >"As the day went on and I saw the footage and the casualties and the houses being blown away, it was tough to see," said Durant, who was in Minneapolis to watch longtime friend Monica Wright play a preseason game for the Minnesota Lynx. "I call Oklahoma City my home. I go through Moore all the time. Its unfortunate. Were going to come together as a city like we always do and were going to bounce back." >The American Red Cross said the gift from Durants foundation is meant to match other donations and be an incentive for more people to give. The Thunder also announced a $1 million donation, as did the NBA and players union. >https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/9298284/kevin-durant-oklahoma-city-thunder-donate-1-million-tornado-relief So apparently, it seems like Kevin Durant was actually one upon doing philanthropy when used to play for OKC. Shame on how things have turned out since then.
Durant threw my cat into the bay
Durant kicked my dog. He didn’t understand why I was so mad at him afterward
Anyone wanna put odds on u/rixxxxer is a KD burner reddit account?
Good guy Kawhi. Wait... Good mant Durant
That was very nice of him. It doesnt change how hes acting at the moment.
It kinda invalidates that tweet he had earlier where he replied “lol you thought we were dating?” or something like that to someone making a metaphor about dumping your ex (OKC) and not understanding why your ex is mad at you when you come around with
How is he acting? He just answered some questions,
Donating a million dollars to a community is nice and all but he literally answered some questions honestly about his career and theres no way Im going to forgive him for that just because he donated some money
Hes trashing an organization and fanbase that treated him very well for a very long time, a continued behavior over the last 4 years.
Yall sensitive af. Stop tryna act like you wouldnt be mad if an entire fanbase treat you like shit after all you did for them. KD isnt AB.
People aren’t allowed to be upset after being stabbed in the back? Especially when the person who stabbed you in the back is talking shit about you non-stop after leaving? At least give them more than a couple months to get over it, he’s literally u
If I left for a heated rival after losing Id expect them to be mad. If I later said "I thought the boos would be louder" when I returned, Id expect them to be mad. Its not sensitive, its how fans react in general, not even from a specific team but fans
Is Durant a good human being? Yes. Did he also break the hearts of every OKC fan? Also yes.
Old news. Im sure this has been posted here before.
KD has given a lot back to charity. A lot. But everyone needs a villain and its the off-season so whatevs.
No one’s saying he’s a horrible person, they just vehemently disagree with his behavior right now. Boogie gives a ton to charity too, that doesn’t stop people from disagreeing with the mistake he made
Ehhh. Take a look at any of the posts out today. A lot of people are saying different variations of KD is a horrible person. Its not like Snake is a term of endearment. Shit "KD is a dumb cunt" has 35 upvotes.
Pretty much this. Hes a good person, who seems to have some awful insecurities and behaves very poorly at times.
The whole thing is dumb cause kd didn’t even rip the fans and people of okc, he ripped the organization for the most part. But now people have run with the headline and small bits of the recent interview and assumed kd was hating on the fans.
