The following story is a continuation of the post [How a CBA player changed NBA history forever]( by [u/frankyangld]( On November 22, 2013, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls suffered a season-ending meniscus tear vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, while going back on defense after a turnover. The incident leads to him earning the "injury prone" label. In the 2014 offseason, the Bulls were in search for a scoring guard who could serve as insurance in case Rose got injured again. On July 22, 2014, they signed an off-the-bench spark plug in Aaron Brooks. On July 14, 2015, Aaron Brooks re-signed with the Chicago Bulls after doing well in his role in the previous season. With Brooks back, the team decided it did not need another microwave scorer in Jordan Crawford, a training camp invite who was cut in preseason. On November 19, 2015, following his release from the Bulls, Crawford signed with Tianjin in the Chinese Basketball Association. He became a prolific scorer in China, averaging over 40 points per game and scoring as many as 72 in a contest. On January 27, 2016, Jordan Crawford missed a game vs. Shandong. His absence meant that his Chinese teammates would have a much greater responsibility to make plays for Tianjins other import and forward Jason Maxiell (in China, imports dominate the ball and take most of the shots). In the game, Tianjin wing Nan Zhang attempted to pass the ball to Maxiell, who was then elbowed by Shandong forward Wu Ke. This led to an altercation in which Wu ran away from Maxiell. Rest of the story as written by u/frankyangld in the original post (see link above). > After the game, Wu Ke was suspended for 11 games. Though Shandong was able to enter playoff as they finished regular season with 5th position, but losing Wu Ke resulted them into being swept in the first round against Guangdong. Team Shandong went home in early Feb, and their star player, Michael Beasley was done with that CBA season with Shandong and was able to sign with Houston Rockets, catching the last bus to the 2016 NBA season. > Houston Rockets was facing the 73-win Golden State Warriors in 2016s first round of Playoff. Houston was defeated in a 1-4 result in this series. But in this series, Warriorss Draymond Green was called a flagrant 1 foul on Beasley, which adds 1 more accumulated flagrant point on Green. (4 flagrant points exacts an one-game automatic suspension). Green accumulated 3 flagrant points before the 2016 NBA final. > And later, as is famouly known to everyone, Green get another flagrant 1 on Lebron James during G4 of NBA final, which caused him to be suspended in G5, which was considered a turning point of that series. Eventually, Lebron James was able to lead Cavaliers to a comeback and won 2016s NBA championship.
