With all of the recent PED-talks, I cant imagine seeing how PEDs or steroids would help a basketball player shoot/dribble/rebound/assist better and could only probably help with bulking up and being stronger. What drugs could theoretically help a basketball player be better?

This. Recovery is the best benefit when youre an athlete of this kind of calibre. The additional muscle mass and strength is probably more useful to the fringe athlete trying to stay in or crack the league.
Steroids help recover which means more reps which means more growth.
Recovery also means performance not just growth. In athletics being able to perform at the muscle size and strength you have consistently is a huge advantage.
Why do you ask?
EPO will increase your endurance, it’s not all about getting bigger. Imagine how that looks on a basketball court when you won’t get tired as easy as others.
I feel like people really dont know what these drugs do. They dont just make you more jacked or bigger. It helps you recover from injury and gives you more athleticism.
Help all of those, since they help athletes recover faster from workouts, alienating pain and allowing more time to work on other aspects of the game. PEDs help in all aspects of developing ones game, regardless what sport it is.
