does it really all fit the salary cap? and they still can pay iguodala livingston etc...?
KD: Chose to sign a deal well below his market rate Boogie: Coming off an injury, apparently nobody wanted to pay him more than 3.5m for this year knowing hed miss most of it and might never be the same Draymond: Signed a deal after only one good year,
>Klay: Apparently doesnt give much of a shit about getting paid Not while he getting that sweet sweet Anta money
They’re not keeping Boogie, which is why they gave him a single-year deal. They most definitely are going to try and keep Curry and KD, if KD leaves though then they’ll be flexible and able to pay the rest of they key roles on their team
Thats not why they game him a single year deal? He was injured. And I’m assuming you can’t sign a contract that pays 5mil one year and 30 the next, right?
Not without cap space (which they dont have). Boogie either takes a huge discount to stay or hes gone.
Iron Bank of Braavos. Warriors are the true Golden Company.
Curry is already locked up until the summer of 2022. Thompson is a free agent this summer. The Warriors have his bird rights and can offer him a max deal. Durant is a free agent this summer. The Warriors have his bird rights and can offer him a max deal
You can Google their team salary to see how it works.
Im trying u/_Quetzalcoatlus_
You can go over the salary cap for players you have bird rights too (basically players that been on the team for 3 or more seasons). Curry is already on contract. Boogie is the only one they couldnt go over the cap for if they wanted to keep him. However
> You can go over the salary cap for players you have bird rights too *(basically players that been on the team for 3 or more seasons).* This is the most common misconception about the cap. You can go over the cap to re-sign anyone. The difference
Idiot. This can be answered by a simple google search
Curry, Klay, Dray: They were drafted by the team and re-signed using bird rights. Iguodala, Livingston: They were signed years ago when they were under the cap and re-signed using bird-rights. Durant: They were under the cap (thanks to the 2016 cap jump
