Don got LOCKED UP. His inefficiency in the regular season was overlooked for some reason but its gonna be a big problem for Utah this series.
A one man army offense just isn’t gonna work against elite defenses. He really needs a second scoring option.
And thats exactly why we traded for CP3 and signed shooters.
He needs to be a second scoring option. They need a better creator than Him. No offense but it is only his second year
Fuck this sub man. Sophomore player struggles against an elite defense despite being the only shot creator on the floor. Burn him alive. 7/18 isnt even that particularly bad.
How is this upvoted lmao making literally 1 thread correctly saying he played poorly is burning him alive Only on r/nba Meanwhile Harden is getting shit on for 29/10/8 on 26 shots Mitchell was inefficient during the regular season like OP said, and p
but 6/17 is a choke job based on r/ nba last night.
He was like 4/15 and they were already getting blown out. Must’ve made his last few shots so it looks better. This sub was also the same place that hyped him up after last year. It goes both ways.
Yeah, like other really good basketball players havent had some relatively rough games where they lost. Being the emotional leader of the team in your second year in a series against the Rockets isnt an easy job. Also, just because.... > shit creator
Wasnt he really bad vs the Rockets last playoffs too
Not in game 5 but CP3 had 40/10/10 so people forgot about it
Holy fuck i forgot that happened when cp3 willed the rockets into the wcf. Mannnnn biggest what ifs when cp3 went down end of game 5. I really think the rockets wouldve taken it all
Well last playoffs, he was the only creator on the floor with Rubio out. He had some nice games but was pretty inefficient. I think in Game 5, he went off in the 3rd for 20+ and might have stolen the game singlehandedly had it not been for CP3 exploding
Utah was edging them out pretty well until Mitchell went down with an injury in that last game. They might have taken them to 6 without his injury
He shot like 36% from the field and 25% from the 3 point line
Lotta highlight plays but yeah we locked him down pretty good overall. I excused it then as youth, which still is somewhat of an excuse, but he hasn’t shown an ability to be efficient yet which is a little troubling
This sub is really reactionary
this is the worst ive ever seen it right now.
He didnt play that great but his performance wasnt really post necessary. Just meh
I mean, he made passes. Our guys didnt hit their shots, and is 24 ppg at 43% 36% that inefficient? I expected better improvement from last year, but he turned it around since January 1st.
I hate this sub
me too. we need rules against "stat posts". they serve no purpose other than to shit on players or shit on haters of certain players. this sub this time of year is the worst sports sub on reddit
better then ben simmons
nah. gimme Simmo over that inefficient chucker
Easy not to be inefficient when youre too scared to shoot the ball.
Simmons is a 610 Lonzo Ball.
Its not surprising since they rely so heavily on him to score. They dont have many other players who can create their own shot, so the Rockets can make life a living hell for Donovan. Hes good enough to overcome the pressure, but Utah needs go get anothe
Donovan Mitchell is averaging 19 points and 5 rebounds in the playoffs since he told a fan in Detroit "You did this, this is your fault!" -- Jazz fans probably
He’s always been inefficient, how some can overlook that is beyond me.
He’s actually been really good (and efficient) the second half of the season
Probably because hes a second year guard thats leading a 50 win team in scoring. He definitely has short comings but you can over look them often because of the fact that he is so far ahead of where he should be at this stage of his career. Today de
New age tyreke
He has a career TS% of like 54% which is just a bit below league average, its not like hes Westbrook level inefficient. 23.8 points a game on 53.7% TS is pretty good for a sophomore whos leading his team offensively
Prime Kobe had a TS that was 2.0 pts above league average (equivalent to a 58% TS today) in the post-season while playing better defensive comp than any perimeter player in history. Donovan today had a TS that was 7 points below league average. So, not re
Trevor Ariza isn’t on the Rockets anymore how is that possible?
He was never efficient to begin with. He’s overrated just because he challenged Ben Simmons for roty last year
